Terms & Conditions for Party Kit Hire

Booking & Cancellation

1. To book your hire, complete the booking form on our website
2. All bookings will be confirmed by The Cambridge Soft Play Company upon receipt of a booking form. In the event that there has been an error and the date you have booked is not available, we will let you know ASAP and refund the deposit.
3. A £50 non-refundable deposit (£75 for click and collect package) is required to secure the booking on completion of the booking form.
4. Any balance remaining will be due for your hire two weeks before confirmed hire date. You will be sent an invoice via email to make this payment. Payment will be via our website by Debit/Credit Card.
5. In the event of your cancellation by the customer, the deposit is forfeited – as it is non-refundable. However, if more than 14 days notice is given the deposit can be transferred to re-book on another day, subject to availability. This is at the discretion of The Cambridge Soft Play Company
6. Any changes to the booking must be received by email and agreed by The Cambridge Soft Play Company prior to your Hire.
7. All prices are subject to change at any time (excluding confirmed bookings).
8. If The Cambridge Soft Play Company cancels the booking (excludes reasons beyond our control), full monies will be refunded.
9. We are unable to guarantee the weather and therefore recommend that the equipment be used indoors. We will not refund any monies if weather turns bad on or during the day of Hire and no alternative cover has been arranged.

Delivery, Setup and Collection

1. It is the hirer’s responsibility to check the site measurements for the required package, and also to ensure that there will be adequate space surrounding the play equipment. If sufficient space is not available at the venue site for the package ordered you will still be charged for them.
2. Please allow for at least 30-45 minutes for us to set up the soft play prior to the start of your event, when booking we will advise how much time is needed. If this is not available, please make us aware at the time of booking.
3. It is the responsibility of the hirer to ensure easy access to the venue for unloading and loading of equipment. Any restrictions must be reported to The Cambridge Soft Play Company prior to the event such as but not limited to, lack of parking, stairs, narrow doorways etc. Failure to do so may result in The Cambridge Soft Play Company not being able to deliver.
4. The packages include free delivery to venues within 15 miles of CB7 5EE. Venues outside of this area will be advised upon the booking request of any additional delivery costs.
5. We will endeavour to deliver on time, but The Cambridge Soft Play Company will not be held responsible for delay incurred due to circumstances beyond our control (e.g. traffic problems, bad weather).
6. The Cambridge Soft Play Company will set up the equipment taking into account full safety of the children, and therefore the equipment must not be moved off of the play area during the Hire. The Cambridge Soft Play Company will not accept any responsibility for accidents, injury or damage during the period of hire.
7. A RETURNABLE £50 (£75 for click and collect packages) damage/loss/soiled deposit will be taken on booking. If damage, loss or soiling has occurred during the Hire please let The Cambridge Soft Play Company know straight away. The Cambridge Soft Play Company staff will assess any damage and discuss and agree appropriate action with
the Hirer. An itemised invoice to cover loss/damage or professional cleaning may be sent after the hire if necessary if costs incurred are over £50. Quotes will be sourced for replacement or mending and any extra costs will be charged to the Hirer.

8. When booking a click and collect package, you will be required to set this up yourself. The Cambridge Soft Play Company do not accept responsibility for any accidents, injury or damage that occurs as a result of improper set up of the equipment.

Health & Safety


It is the responsibility of the person who is hiring our Soft Play Hire Packages to ensure that all possible steps are taken to avoid injury or damage. Please ensure that the following Safety Instructions are followed:

1. The Soft Play has an age limit of 5 years old. Please ensure no one over this age uses the Soft Play
2. Please ensure that our equipment is kept in a clean condition - if we have to have the equipment professionally cleaned before the next hire, then we may have to keep your damage deposit and in some cases charge you extra. All equipment will be cleaned before and after the Hire.
3. Please ensure that no-one with a history of back or neck problems or any medical condition which could reasonably be aggravated by using the equipment are allowed on the soft play.
4. No food or drinks or chewing gum to be allowed on or near any of the equipment, this will avoid choking and mess (please note if the equipment is collected in a dirty condition then the person hiring it will incur a cleaning charge).
5. Please ensure that participants are not attempting somersaults and are clothed appropriately with nothing in their pockets which could cause injury or damage.
6. All shoes, jewellery and badges MUST be removed before using the Soft Play equipment. No face paints, party poppers, coloured streamers or silly string to be used either on or near the Soft Play and equipment. (These can create staining on the vinyl and may result in additional charges for new covers)
7. No smoking, fires or barbecues near the Soft Play and equipment.
8. A responsible Adult not under the influence of drugs or alcohol (over 18 years old) must supervise at all times. The Cambridge Soft Play Company accepts no liability for any accidents or injuries that may occur whilst the equipment is on hire and recommend the Hirer takes out their own insurance for the day.
9. Always ensure that you limit numbers according to the age and size of children using it.
10. Children must not push, collide, fight or behave in a manner likely to injure or cause distress to others.
11. No pets or sharp objects to be allowed on or near the Soft Play and equipment.

General

1. Any damage to the equipment must be reported to The Cambridge Soft Play Company as soon as possible, and may result in an additional fee.
2. The hirer will be responsible for any loss of equipment during the Hire Period and will be charged accordingly.
3. The Cambridge Soft Play Company are covered by Public Liability Insurance, and a copy of this is available on request.

DISCLAIMER
Please note that all persons using our equipment do so at their own risk. The person/organisation hiring the equipment will be responsible/liable for any damage or injury occurring from or as a result of misuse or reckless use. These guidelines are for the safety of all people using this equipment, and it is the sole responsibility of the Hirer to ensure they are adhered to. Our company cannot accept any responsibility for any injury caused to
anyone using this equipment.

Please note that by purchasing a ticket to one of our events, you are agreeing to the following terms and conditions.

1. All of the hired items will be given to you in a plastic box, please ensure that all items are returned to this plastic box at the end of your hire.

2. All items will be cleaned by The Cambridge Soft Play Company, please ensure that all food is scraped off bowls/plates and cups are emptied of liquid before returning to the box.

3. We have 5 sets of each colour choice, we will do our best to ensure that you are provided with colours to match your theme as requested but this will not always be possible. We will let you know in advance if we are not able to provide this.
4. Please ensure that all items are in the box at the point of return. There will be a £1 fee for each broken or lost item.
5. If you have booked a soft play package with us, we will deliver and collect the party kit at the same time. If you are booking the party kit on its own or with the click and collect soft play package, you will be required to collect these from our address in Soham which will be provided after booking.

6. When booking, please provide us with a desired collection/return time. We will confirm these times when confirming your booking. If you need to change these times at all please enquire via email to do so. If you are late to collect or return any equipment without written agreement a late fee may be charged.
7. The Cambridge Soft Play Company will check all of the items before hire to ensure it is in a safe condition. Please report any damage to us as soon as possible to avoid injury. Please check the equipment when you receive it and report any concerns to us immediately.

 

The Cambridge Soft Play Company are not responsible for any injury caused by improper use of the party kit.
